In the tropical exuberance of Bávaro beach and very close to the Barceló Bávaro Beach resort lies the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, the largest and most modern convention centre in the Caribbean.

Pioneer in incentives and conventions, congresses summit and fairs in one of the biggest convention center of the Caribbean. Barceló Bávaro Convention Center has been host of remarkable events such as the XII Summit of Government and State Leaders of Iberoamerica, II Summit of Tourism Ministers Iberoamerican, DATE 2001-2002, XXXVI Annual Assembly FELABAN, Cabinet ACP-UE, AHCIET Regulatel Indotel, II Iberoamerican Forum for the environment, International Commission for the woman. Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, provides a Business Centre, Wi Fi and a total of 23 meeting rooms, which can lodge up to 5000 people, from the smallest director board to the biggest international events, 3 of them are divided and they count with the following facilities:

Gran Salón Bávaro. Can accommodate up to 3000 people in a theatre shape. This meeting room is divided in 4, one for 400 people and the other 3 for up to 300 people each in banquet shape.

Salón Punta Cana. Can accommodate in a theatre shape up to 520 people. This meeting room is divided into 4, one for 180 people and 3 for a maximum capacity of 48 people each in banquet shape.

Salón Santo Domingo. Can accommodate up too 250 people in a theatre shape. It is divided in two, one for 140 people and one for a maximum of 48 people in a banquet shape.

Salones Sosua, Barahona, Juan Dolio and Puerto Plata. Each of them can accommodate 60 people in theatre shape. They can be divided into 2 saloons.

Salones La Romana, Cabarete, Samanà, Santiago, Azua and Bani. Each of them can accommodate 25 people in theatre shape.
