Designed by architect Juan Manuel Gordillo, its 18-hole par-72 golf course was opened in 1991 as the top one in Punta Cana. A combination of holes bordered by thick vegetation and other completely open ones, surrounded by a huge lake in a setting of 150,000 square metres. Each hole has three tees, classified for Ladies, Amateurs and Professionals.

Dear Golfers,
We are pleased to inform you that as of March 1st, 2009, we will begin a brand new project of redesigning our Barcelo Golf De Bavaro golf course. This project will be carried out by the infamous golf course designer Mr. P.B. Dye. Under these circumstances, we will be required to close the back nine holes from March 1st, 2009. The project completion is set for December 24th, 2009 after which the entire 18 holes will resume their operations.
During the renovation project you will be able to enjoy golfing at our facilities on 9 available holes. This means that you are welcome to play twice the front nine to complete the entire 18 holes round par 72.
