Points of Interest
It is important to remind you that it may, on occasion be necessary to change the date of your wedding. For example, due to adverse weather conditions or if the Judge/Register is called away on official duties and therefore it may be necessary for her to reschedule your wedding. We therefore recommend that you consider the above and if you are planning to have stationary printed or rings engraved, that this is done on your return.
Wedding day attire. Most of our wedding couples wear traditional outfits such as a white or cream dress for the Bride and a suit and tie for the Groom. You can however, wear more casual attire if you prefer.
The ceremony will normally take place within the grounds of the hotel, however this may need to be relocated indoors should there be any adverse weather conditions. All weddings are performed by a Judge/Registrar and usually last approximately 15 minutes. Please note that it is a legal requirement in the Dominican Republic that all weddings must be performed in Spanish. There will be an interpreter present during the ceremony to translate for you. If you have asked for a specific time for your wedding, this is a request only and cannot be guaranteed. The time of your wedding ceremony will be confirmed upon arrival, as this is dependent on the commitments of the Judge/Registrar.
The marriage certificate will be issued in Spanish and will be given to you after the ceremony.
A meeting with the Wedding Co-ordinator will be arranged upon arrival. This will enable us to finalize all your requirements and you will also have the opportunity to purchase any of the extra services.
