Diving:
The Riviera Maya is one of the best spots in the world for scuba-diving and probably the most outstanding in the Caribbean, offering a combination of transparent waters, extremely well-preserved reefs and a diversity of marina flora and fauna.
The clarity of the waters of the Riviera Maya are ideal for scuba-diving, permitting visibility of between 15 and 60 meters depending on the time of year; an average of 25 meters.
The seabed is formed of coral reef over sandy substrate, characterized by giant sponges and soft coral over a hard coral substrate.
Water temperature ranges from 25°C (77°F) in winter to 30°C (86°F) in summer.
Programmed dives include "The Little Caves", a five-minute journey by boat followed by cave exploration at a maximum depth of 15 meters and "Mero" ,"La Cavepeta" ,"Oasis" and "Los Dedos": following a five-minute boat journey, explore the coral reefs and marvel at the marine life at a maximum depth of between 18 m and 25 m.
Other possibilities include night-diving, cave-diving, deep-water-diving, exploration of shipwrecks, "sea baptisms" and Marine Biology diving.
We can offer you three different PADI-certificate levels either for beginners or the more advanced practitioners of this exciting sport:
Discover Scuba Diving, with dives up to a depth of 12 meters.
Open Water Diver, for dives up to a depth of 18 meters.
Advanced Open Water Diverfor experienced divers, up to a depth of 30 meters.
